On mark the birth anniversary of Savitribai Jyotirao Phule, an Indian social reformer, educationist, poetess, and India's first female teacher, a hemoglobin screening camp was organized for the eighth and ninth grade students of KV Girls' School under the Rotary project 'Cherry Blossom' jointly organized by the Rotary Club of Panvel Central and Panvel Municipal Corporation. PDG Dr. Girish Gune, Dr. Mrs. Rehana Mujawar of Panvel Municipal Corporation Health Department, KV Girls School Committee Chairman Mr. Pritamdada Mhatre, Medical Director of Rotary Club of Panvel Central Rtn.Dr. Laxman Awate, School Principal Mrs. Suvidyatai Wavekar along with other teachers of the school, Rotary Club of Panvel Central President Shailesh Pote, Secretary Deepak Gadge, Treasurer Hrishikesh Buwa along with past presidents, Rotary members, Rotary Anns were present for this camp. 430 students took advantage of this hemoglobin check-up camp. Those whose hemoglobin was low were guided about diet by Dr. Girish Gune and Dr. Rehana Mujawar Madam. Free medicines were distributed by the Health Department of Panvel Municipal Corporation. To make this camp successful, the contribution of Pharma companies like Villesta Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Franco Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Apex Lab. Pvt. Ltd., Shidis Department and Ayushan Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. was helpfull.
