Festivals bring joy in our lives. But if the festival is hampering the nature in any way then it is a sin. During the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi almost every person welcomes Ganesha idols, however, many of them are made up of POP, that causes harm to our environment. And the fact that people are unaware about it bothers us. Hence Rotary club of Panvel Central aims to spread awareness about the same. We believe, tomorrow's generation is the right audience for such kind of events. Because ultimately they are the ones, who are actually going to bring the change. So, in association with Era-arts we arranged a workshop in VK high school. Mrs. Rupali Madan from Era -Art taught students how to make Ganpati idol s with shadu clay and also we explained them why eco-friendly Ganpati is important. Though only 180 students could directly participate, we think the message successfully reached out to 11000 students of school, and eventually 11000 families
